EV-Down CM kit, an easy and quick method to concentrate EVs from cell culture media
EV-Down CM kit allows the fast isolation of extracellular vesicles (EVs) from cell culture media or milk, without requiring ultracentrifugation. Cell culture medium containing EVs is incubated overnight with a reagent that captures water molecules, leading to the precipitation of EVs. By low-speed centrifugations, EVs are pelleted and can be resuspended in the desired buffer, in the desired volume.

Specifications :
EV-Down CM kit is designed for the concentration of non-purified extracellular vesicles, produced in culture media containing or not foetal bovine serum. EVs from serum-free culture media can also be concentrated but the efficacy might be lower. We recommend to test the efficiency of EVs isolation with your own EVs production medium.
Kit lifetime: Up to 6 months at -20°C
EVs produced in three culture media, classically used for EVs production, were isolated using EV-Down CM kit and analysed by Western blot using EV-ID kit.
EVs markers such as Alix, Syntenin-1 and CD81 were detected in all three EVs preparations. Calnexin, a cellular contamination marker, was tested to assess EVs purity.
